Leveraging our institute’s proximity to the vibrant coastal ecosystems of Odisha, our lab also investigates the biodiversity of Chilika Lake—Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon—and its adjoining shoreline. We specifically focus on molluscan groups that currently lack genomic representation, aiming to uncover the genetic and evolutionary foundations of their unique ecological adaptations.
